Dumb, unless it’s his thing also. Last gift a got as a groomsman was a Leatherman. That rocked as a gift.

when i went to uruguay to see my cousins for the first time since i was 7 yrs old. thats what i got them, a roll of gold dollar coins. it didnt weigh much and i could pass it around to my relatives instead of carrying a lot of gifts, it made things easier for me

      Very cool idea.

Uh, YEAH! What are you thinking? Hahha. LMFAO.

      Ask your bride for advice..

If you think he would keep them because he remember an important date, nothing wrong with it at all. My man collects coins and he gave me a mercury dime on a necklace years ago, I don’t even take it off when I go to sleep, and I don’t collect coins, I keep it because someone important gave it to me.
I don’t think its weird, I think it sounds very unique and thoughtful.

I know you’re in the US, but in Australia you can buy collector’s sets of uncirculated coins in a special little wallet? Perhaps check out the US Mint website to see if there’s anything on there for collectors?
