I don’t know what silver prices will be 5 minuets from now let alone 5 years.
I don’t think you will find any substantial increase in the demand for silver. And if this was true, I would not expect that coins would soar in value anytime soon.
Professionals (money managers, fund managers, etc) do not buy coins for inflation hedging. They buy appropriate indexes, TIPS, trade currencies, etc., to protect against inflation.
I am skeptikal about silver as an inflation hedge. Gold is the traditional one, and more easily transported and stored than silver. With the change to digital photographs silver has lost most of its use as an industrial metal. Yet in a complete monetary collapse, I suppose silver will have some uses as currency. Hard to imagine it though. If things get that bad, I would rather have ammo than silver. I see gold as useful because it is easily converted into any global currency.
There is no connection between the us dollar & silver eagles. The eagle is worth whatever silver is worth plus a substantial mark-up.
The Amero is a joke, except to a few nuts on message boards. We just had a presidential election. Did you hear anyone talk about the Amero??
If you want to know what silver will do in the next 5 yrs, see what it has done in the past 5.
