Here is your latest Price Coin update.

Here we’ll talk about the top 5 most expensive coins in the history of coin collections. You’ll be surprised just how these coins really cost and what made these precious things have high price tags. Here is the list of top coins:

The coin that hit the fifth spot is the 1913 Liberty Head Nickel. This item is a five cent American coin. Back in its days, these coins are produced in very limited quantities which made it known as one of the most expensive coins in the world. There are five variations known of the Liberty Head Nickel namely: Eliasberg, Olsen, Norweb, Walton, and the McDermott. The most recent purchase was in 2010 at an auction, the coin costs for up to $3.7 million.
The coin that hits the fourth place is the 1804 Silver Dollar from the Queller Collection. There are 15 specimens for coin and is further classified into three sub groups namely: Class I, Class II, and Class III. The Queller’s collections rarity and fame gave it a price tag of 3.7 million, the same as our fifth placer coin but is less costly than the same kind of 1804 Silver Dollar but from a different collection.
The third placer is an 1804 Silver Dollar which sold for $4.1 million. The 1804 Silver Dollar coin is produced in very limited quantities and has a rich history, thus their rarity and fame as a collector’s item.
The 1933 Double Eagle coin reaches the second spot, having a price tag of $7.6 million. This American 20 dollar coin is one of the survivors of the 445,000 gold coins which were melted down due to discontinuance of the domestic gold standard. In the 1930’s, President Roosevelt ordered the meltdown of the gold coins in order to end the 1930 general back crisis.
Now for the last coin which was sold for $7.9 million, the Flowing Hair coin hits the top spot as the first placer coin. Commissioned by the first Federal Government of the United States, it is the oldest and most expensive coin ever sold in history.
There you have it, the list of the most expensive single-coin purchases as of now.

There is currently a high demand for GOLD in this economy. However, now there is a shortage of GOLD because people are hoarding them as a financial safe haven. The only other GOLD that is available is jewelry. However, I hear that jewelry has less value and don’t hold up as well as actual GOLD bullion bars and coins.

But with GOLD in such high demand would buying jewelry be sensible alternative?
