Why is it impossible to buy gold coins at a decent price over the internet?
I want to buy gold coins at 7% over the spot market. Why is this so hard to do? Are there reasons this is discouraged or something?

How do you go about purchasing gold coins?
The treasury website offers 1oz gold coins for sale.
Gold dealers tell me that the treasury sells only something called "proof" coins which are more expensive.
Can anyone help with this confusion?
